FAQ: Dice Upon a Time
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

How is it possible for you to send the orders in such a short time?

When we started the Kickstarter project, the game was nearly a hundred percent ready. We made contracts with the delivery services and the printing presses, trusting the success of the game, so we could start producing and sending the game as soon as the project is finished.

Is there a way to purchase other games of the publisher?

Of course there is. The games are available at koronaboardgames.com and kekjatek.hu website. Those games, that are not purchased through Kickstarter as an add-on, work with different shipping cost. Please contact us via email.

How do I pay for add-ons?

There are two possibilities: 1. Wait for the pledge manager after the campaign, and you can adjust your order there. 2. Add the cost of your selected add-ons to the amount of your reward level (plus the reward level’s shipping), and pledge that total amount. When the Kickstarter ends, a survey will be sent out where you can select which add-ons you wanted.

What is the difference between the Deluxe Edition of the game and the Regular Edition?

Only the miniatures. They come only in the deluxe version. Other than that, they are the same.

There will be 3 card sizes in Dice Upon a Time: normal size (88 x 63,5), big size (120 x 80) and half-size (44 x 68). Dice size: 16 mm. Miniatures: 40 mm.

Can I pledge multiple copies?

Yes, listed as the last pledge option, that is tailored for group or retail orders of at least 10 copies. If you wish to buy 10 or more copies of the Deluxe Edition, select that option and contact us for your price.

Is it a language-dependent game? In what languages will it be available?

This game is not language-independent. The Story cards and Magic Item cards have English text. However, the game is playable without these components as well. Omitting them is expressly recommended when playing with small children. The game will be available in English and Hungarian. This game is being published in cooperation with the Hungarian company Kékjáték, therefore the complete game is going to be translated into Hungarian. Backers can indicate in the pledge manager if they wish to receive a Hungarian copy instead of the default English language one. If any country/language reaches 100 backers, we will translate the rulebook into that language and make it available online as downloadable content.

Will there be a solo mode?

To be honest, we didn’t plan to build a solo game mode, as the level of interaction between players in this game is higher than usual in euro games. A solo mode would rather destroy the characteristics of this game. However… nothing is impossible.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
